This monitor is astounding. I looked around extensively and I was frequently disappointed at the cost of large monitors that weren't garbage. There were very few 22'' monitors that interested me that were also affordable. Most were 800:1 contrast ratios as well. Then I found this monitor on sale for $299, and I am so glad that I bought it. The 3000:1 dynamic contrast is all I could ever ask for, there is no need to tweak anything when switching from games to movies to the web. No dead pixels, minimal bleeding that I never see. A suggestion though, make sure you have a decent mid-range GPU if you plan on gaming with decent graphics, because unless the game allows you to set the aspect ratio, you will need to run them at 1680x1050 to get the full screen filled, and that can be hard on some GPU's in graphics intensive games. BUY THIS! |

The polemic of thoses panel version is complex. S,A,C and even P panel are on the market.
In june 2007 samsung announced that all new panel would be ''S'' one. However they still produce all the model. Now on the sticker there is no more letter so impossible for you to know wich version it is. On the hidden menu (google it) there is no more panel version too so you have to use the serial number and model number and try to find the info on the net. On my part I cannot be sure but I think I got a ''A'' panel, made in tianjin China october 2007. This A Panel is a third generation one and is perfectly working.
People who send bad reviews almost had all the C panel 1st generation...there is no more of them on the market. Whatever the version is, the new generations are working fine even if the main component has been made by a sub-contractor and not directly samsung.Buy it now, it is a great monitor for gaming and movies. Others LCD monitor all have more problem than this one. Just best. |

I have the A panel and I dont know where these negative reviews on it are coming from? Maybe I got a good one.. This monitor is sweet! coming from the syncmaster 920Nx there is no comparrison, the color is better, clear, no blurr, fast, bright, and looks just awesome. Great deal for what I payed. I reccommend to everyone. |

This monitor REALLY is great. I changed from the Sceptre NagiIII LCD 1680x1050 to this. TOTAL difference between the 2, not only much brighter but the colors are way way better on this. I tested out BF2 and Armed Assault, BF2 felt like I had just changed the video card, it looks so much better. I know what your really wanting to know, what panel is it? It turned out to be the S-panel. It didn't say at the back or in the little hidden menu, i had to take apart the dang thing (wasn't that hard, and i'm a noob with stuff like this) then lift up the metal thing. Monitor also came with NO dead pixels, and arrived in 2 days (even tho it said it would take 5-10 days). There is very little bleeding, now I only noticed this in a Armed Assault black night time mission, and I cannot see this during any Movie tho or anything else, so it's possible it could just be the game, even then its very little (not to mention ArmA has not liked 8800gtx and still needs fixed).

Cleaning Your LCD Monitor or TV
Now that you have your new LCD Monitor or Widescreen TV, it is important to
use the right products to clean it. The wrong cleaner can damage the
surface of your display. However, there are many new cleaning products on the market designed especially for
LCD displays. We recommend using a soft, lint-free cloth and a special LCD
cleaner. (You can also use a cleaner that
contains any of the following: Water, Vinegar (mixed with water), or Isopropyl alcohol). BUT Do Not Use cleaners that contain any of the following agents: Acetone, Ethyl alcohol, Ethyl acid, Ammonia, Methyl chloride!
Important:
Do not spray any liquids directly on the LCD screen. Always apply the
solution to your cloth first, not directly to the parts you are cleaning.
Always use a soft cotton cloth. Some materials, such as paper towels or old
rags can cause scratches and damage the LCD screen.

Dual Monitor
Technology
Few PC users have ever experienced the huge productivity boost that comes

today's PC have the capability already installed, and Windows (since 2000)
natively supports dual monitors. Configuring dual monitors is so easy: just use
