Toshiba SD-P1900 9" DivX/DVD Player
Apart from being a portable player of DVD video and CD audio discs, Toshiba SDP1900 has a large 9 inch TFT LCD widescreen display and a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 5 hours of playback. This interactive DVD player also has a feature to select an area of the picture to zoom in on and magnify. Enhanced digital processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback can be used to expand letterbox-only films to increase the viewable area onscreen. The 3D Virtual Surround Sound provides simulated surround sound effect from sources that contain only a stereo soundtrack. Perfect with the headphone output jacks. It comes with a rechargeable battery, an AC adapter, and a Car Cord for use virtually anywhere. It's a great way to keep your children entertained on long car trips.

I bought this to use during plane flights. It worked with both pre-recorded and home recorded movies on DVD-r and +r. The sound was very good with plenty of volume through the headphones. The picture quality was great, crisp and clear. The battery life was good, I played through 2 movies on the 5.5 hour flight both going and coming the battery was still good after each flight. It charged quickly between flights. I would definitely recommend this player. |

| What Is
High Definition And How Is It Different From Standard Definition?
High Definition or "HD" is a
technological leap forward from standard definition, with up to 6x the
picture resolution, so that what you see is sharper and more realistic. Regular TVs and the TV channels you watch
at home are typically in standard definition (unless you watch HD channels).
DVD are also in standard definition. Standard definition (480i & 480p)
is lower quality than high definition. Many older TV sets are standard
def, and can only show standard def content (programming). Many new
TVs are called High Definition TVs (HDTV). They are capable of showing
high def content in: 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, all high definition
formats, but 1080p provides the highest picture quality of them all.
