used this to attach a 500gb drive out of my pc that the motherboard died in. Connected perfectly and was able to access all my files.

My use did not use the power supply. My motherboard would not suppose a 2TB drive, so I simply set everything up inside and looped the USB end to an external plug. Everything works excellent for me and accomplishes its goal. The power supply works great for our other drives we service as a repair shop. Great buy. Thank you.

Works fine, not expensive, just what I needed. It's a fraction of the cost of a SATA enclosure if you don't need to use the drive all the time.

Following a hard disk crash (physical damage to the bootable partition), The Sabrent Serial ATA to USB 2.0 converter allowed me to recover, and copy to the replacement hard drive, all critical data from the bad drive. I was able to reconstitute all my critical data files (email lists, on line banking records, etc.) within a few hours and without having to send the crashed disk to a disk recovery specialist.
