 The
Magicard Opera 100 ID card printer includes badging software, which allows
users to build a limited member database (upgradeable). Just connect
a PC web cam and printer, install the software, and you are ready to go. This
compact, attractive printer connects to the PC with a USB 1.1 connection and
is great for high visibility environments, such as access control, employee
ID, company reception areas and retail applications. So small and light, this
unit can be transported easily.
 Standard
HoloKote™ anti-copying watermark across entire face of card. When used with
HoloPatch™ cards one area of the HoloKote® watermark is highlighted as a high
visibility security seal. This unit prints on PVC cards using photo-realistic
dye sublimation technology. Magicard Opera Badging Software includes a
database with search facility which is limited to 50 entries but upgradeable
to unlimited entries with the pro version" barcode fonts, several designs and
backgrounds, and the ability to design your own.

Authentication
The Ultra Magicard Holokote anti-forgery card
protection eliminates the threat from fake IDs and is standard on all Rio
& Tango models. Holokote is an anti-copying watermark across the entire
card surface, that becomes visible when the card is viewed at an angle.
There is no additional cost involved in printing Holokote cards. |

Optional Additional
Security
When used with the optional Magicard HoloPatch card stock, one of the security
logos is highlighted by a highly reflective gold 'super-diffuser' patch,
making the logo clearly visible under all lighting conditions. HoloKoteTM
with HoloPatchTM has a similar appearance to credit card hologram patches.

I purchased one of these once before and I was satisfied with what I paid for it... but my last order took way too long to get to me... and when I did get it, I noticed that my OPERA was not the same machine I once owned before... I ordered extra color ribbons and the stupid thing kept tearing the ribbons (I went through 3 brand new riibbons in just 9 days)... and when my Opera decided to print a card (it turned out way too dark regardless of what I did with the settings)... I wish I had listened to my partners and ordered a REAL card printer like a ZEBRA or something else... ANYTHING would be better than this damn OPERA... piece of crap... Its just sitting on my desk now acting as a paperweight... I am so upset with its overall performance that I am affraid to even spend another nickle on parts or ribbons... If I had a gun, I'd probably shot it! I'm serious... if you want good quality.... stay away from this crap... take it from me... I am a professional. |

This is the third printer our company has used and is by far the most superior. (Fargo, Zebra)
It was easy to setup and our ID cards looks great!

I am very impressed with the card quality from this printer. I purchased this for our employee badges and am 100% satisfied. It is very user friendly and the Magicard ID software (that came with it) was exactly what we needed. We previously used a Fargo printer and had nothing but problems.

I've never had any problems with this printer. I use it to create our company's id badges. I even print on both sides even though I have to feed it manually. I don't use the software that was supplied with the printer. I am using Adobe InDesign with great success. I have had nothing but compliments on my cards. |
