Perfect
What a great purchase. Picked this up on sale and have had it now for a good amount of time. No problems in connecting it, or in the use of it. Have loaded it almost half full and works great
Great Product
Plug it in and it's ready to go. Love it.
Works like a charm
I bought it, plugged it in, formatted it, and now it works like I expected with my
Telus PVR and should do the same with a Bell
PVR.
Working then nothing.
I've had this drive for just over 2 months and then all of a sudden it stopped working. I had over 80hours of programming work I had been saving on it to only have it gone in the wind. The drive now makes some weird buzzing sound and need I say only 2 months old. I've had a WD for over 4 years and It's held up against everything. Very disapointed right now. Lost over 750gb of information.
Everything I need
I've had this unit going a few weeks. So far it has worked flawlessly. The only complaint I would have is that the power source is the cheapest wire on the planet. If for some reason you do plan to travel with this unit or move it for any other reason then I would strongly suggest upgrading the power source. The stock usb cable is pretty skimpy as well but I expected that. The unit itself has shown no problems at all. I use it in my home studio and though it would probably be quiet enough to run while recording I switch it off which is nice and easy with the power switch on the back. If you just need extra storage that is going to sit on the desk then I can't imagine a better value than this one.
