Today’s printers are not only designed to print documents but photos as well. And they do not only function as just a printing device, but have become scanners, copiers, and even fax machines as well. All-in-one printers, as they are referred to, have become more than just a trend; it has become a necessity.
The Brother MFC-465CN Photo All-in-One Printer is just that. It has everything you need in one uber-perfomance machine. It includes a 2.0” LCD screen for previewing your photos without the use of a computer and a 4”x6” photo paper tray perfect for holding up to 20 sheets of glossy paper without removing the standard paper. You can print rich and vibrant borderless photos in as little as 58 seconds with the help of its resolutions reaching 6000 x 1200 dpi and a minimum droplet size of 1.5 picoliters. In terms of printing speed, producing photos at 25 ppm and documents at 30 ppm is not so bad.
The MFC-465CN also contains an automatic document feeder for its fax, copy, and scan functions. The feeder could hold up to 10 pages for unattended fax, copy and scanning of multi-page documents. In addition, the MFC-465CN has media card slots, USB Direct, and PictBridge interfaces that allows you to print your photos directly from your digital camera’s media card, USB flash drive, or from your PictBridge-enabled camera without a computer.
As a fax machine, this all-in-one has a modem speed of 14.4 Kbps/6 seconds and a Quick Scan speed of approximately 4.72 seconds per page. It also comes with the PC Fax Receive feature that allows you to receive incoming faxes in soft copy form even when your computer is turned off. As a copier, resizing documents will not be a problem anymore since it can reduce and enlarge from 25% to 400% with 1% increments. As a scanner, the MCF-465CN does both color and black and white scanning with a maximum optical resolution of 600 x 2400 dpi.
What’s unique about the MCF-465CN is that is has a built-in Ethernet interface that allows you to share your files with other people in your network. By just plugging it into your wired or wireless router (yes, it works on both!), you can easily share it to print, scan, and fax, as well as gain access to different digital camera media cards. With this networking feature, multiple users can share the different functions of this printer anytime, anywhere. Also, with the Network PC Faxing, you can send and receive soft copies of your fax messages through a network.
It saves you time and space, and even your money with its four individual ink tank technology that come with high yield pages, thus shortening the replacement cycles of the cartridges.
