If you really wanted the FTW you should have got it. I can't afford it. and this one is a Great Value and price.. I am running a Q9950 1333Mhz with no problem. Plugged in my 500 Gig already loaded With Win 7 harddrive, 4 gig memory worked great right off the gitgo... follow insturctions helps and don't try to run 1600 FSB it is only rated for 1333.. I always ran MSI I like this better.. |

Couldnt run a q6600 at stock speeds with RAM at 1066mhz (rated for 1200mhz). Even with super relaxed timings the system was unstable with memory clocked at 800mhz. I've got my old board back in and running the Q at 3.0ghz and ram at 1066 without any hiccups. I'll keep shopping around b4 all the 775 boards disappear for good. |

I had purchased this after finding it on dealnews, and I was in the process of pricing out a quick rebuild of my core 2 quad. Specs-wise, it does exactly what I need it to do, I was a little leery due to some of the other reviews saying that it was DOA. But everything booted up fine (well, except for me forgetting to plug in the power plugs for my ASUS 4870x2 hehe). My only gripe is that there was a rebate on the motherboard but the box that came with the Mobo didn't have a UPC! |

What You Should Know
 |
|

|
How Much
Memory Do You Really Have?
When you look at the specifications for a computer, it will display the
installed memory, and typically the maximum memory that can be installed.
However, while these are real values, they represent a potential useable
memory depending upon the installed operating system, and other factors. The actual useable memory may be different
(lower) from these values.
The reason is simply that a computer may have a limitation in the operating
system (such as Windows 32 bit versions), or configured to use shared memory,
which reduces the amount of RAM that is available to the CPU by using
some of it for other purposes, such as for video memory. In some
cases, you can control the maximum useable memory through system settings,
by upgrading from a 32 bit to a 64 bit version of Windows XP or Vista, or by upgrading to a video card that has internal onboard video memory.
But always
remember, that the amount of memory that your system reports, is not always
the amount of actual installed memory. For example, if you have 4GB
installed, 32 bit versions of Windows will typically report 3.2GB due to a
limitation of Windows itself. Also note that different Windows
programs report available and maximum memory differently, which can be
confusing. If you find that you need more
memory, we suggest expanding your system memory, since this is the most
effective performance increase, and the one that is easiest to perform .
