This is my first camera that I personally owned, I've used so many high quality cameras and some low quality ones. For the this price this is a steal for anyone starting out with video cameras. It's not the top of the line, but it will hold it's own against anything you throw at it. I'm not happy with it's memory, but it will not matter because you will be using a SCHD or whatever it's called. I've only run it in HD mode and the quality is astounding! My only gripe about this camera is the power situation. It only takes 4x AA batteries with no power cord for recharging, or and optional battery pack, so you will be carrying large amounts of batteries especially if you run with all the quality settings on high like me. Don't ever leave your batteries in while not using the device as it will drain them anyway :( I never received any software with mine and I am unable to locate a download even from Vivitar but it works just fine as a flash drive to transfer your files. |

High Definition is what it states.... but once you try to do a close up on a item everything turns into small squares.... the baddest definition I have ever saw in my life. I had to return it and invest a little more money on a better product. But we are happy that we did! BE CAREFUL, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! The way it feels, looks, and quality is cheap.... cheap.... cheap.... |

Works great, no probs installing on win7 & xp (x32), gets tv quality (SD) at 30fps fine, havent tested much of HD (20fps), love the brightness adjusting feature, do note that this is a digital zoom (only crops/stretches the pixels), another note is to not leave your batteries in there when not in use (slowly drains), other than that- ITS GREAT and for this price why not. |

Support for product through Sakar was very disappointing, not compatible with Vista 64.Setup is terrible, feels cheap, I reccomend you look elsewhere. After reading lengthy instruction manual on cd-rom only, unit will still not perform functions advertised. Great paperweight properties. |
