I think this is the best head set out there for the 360! some people even say the sound quality is better then the astro A40s! and the trittons cost almost half the price!
but BEWARE OF DEFECTS
i think they fixed this tho as of 2010

Like others on here, I also conducted an exhaustive search and read countless reviews. Eventually the price and true 5.1 surround were the deciding factors. The direction and quality sound when gaming is INCREDIBLE(footsteps, gunfire) and you hear details you'd never heard before in your games. Will require some tweaking to get sound perfect though. Blu-rays sound equally awesome and I suggest using a good blu-ray to tweak your desired surround settings on your controller box. May be slightly heavy for some but didn't bother me. Slight low volume hiss when no sound present during game or movie play but again you rarely come across such situations for very long. Overall I love these and glad I got them. AWESOME FOR COD games! ALSO these now have the flexible mic and 1 ac outlet pretty much eliminating all previous cons of this unit! Highly recommend! |

I ordered the AX PROs after exhaustive research from all kinds of headsets AX 360, 720, n all other brands and have come to the conclusion that this was the set i needed to buy regardless of price. The price on tigers direct was top notch and free shipping is great. i gave it 4 stars becuz it arrived at my city but took days to get here. Kind of was annoying. but nevertheless, it came as expected. My biggest issue is not with the sound but with the makers themselves, the right and left ear labels are printed incorrectly. i mean this does not deal with the sound, the quality is great, but if im going to spend so much cash, they better get it right and not make silly mistakes. Never the less, i have kept them and am happy with them. I do wish there was better guidance on fixing the sound settings to get optimal sound. But if you are like me and need help getting the best headset, then rest assured, these are it. |

I purchashed the Tritton AX Pro's March 7, 2010, and received them, 3 days later. This headset is the best headset in the market, believe me, when i tell you. I can hear everything. All the details u may not get from ur tv or home surround sound.. i personally have a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround surround sound and even then i could hear the basics. And im talking from playing any of the Call of Duty games. I could hear, guns reloading, jumping, metal stairs, some grass, obvious things. but with the Pros, i can hear anything, ppl across the map, anything happening across a map, i can hear, ninja, yes i can hear, anything basically. just an amazing product, if ur a serious gamer, this is the headset for u. and this site has the best DEAL ive seen in the last year, ive been looking for a satisfying deal. $154.99 - No Tax - Free Shipping. U honestly cant get anything better then this. Go for it. |

Purchased product in one week mic went out-sent new mic and cable still did not work--got an rma to get replaced with updated version--said they had a known mic issue with the current version and had a new and improved version coming out---hope the new version works from a mic standpoint--the sound quality is excellent and I look forward to getting the new version with the improved mic---- |
