EVGA X58 SLI Motherboard
Take advantage of the most significant architectural change in the x86 architecture in 13 years, the Intel Core i7. The EVGA X58 SLI introduces a new era for extreme performance. It is an X58-based motherboard that supports Intel's new generation extreme performance Core i7 Processors and both SLI and CrossFireX! Ten SATA ports with RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 gives you plenty of storage options and the ability to use enterprise quality hard drives with speeds of up to 10,000 RPMs. Memory support includes up 6 DIMMs of Triple Channel DDR3 memory at speeds up to 1600MHz*. Its Super Hybrid Engine delivers world-record breaking performance or radically reduces power consumption depending on your need. Intel has brought back Hyperthreading technology and combined it with a native quad-core design to give support for 8 seperate threads in the new LGA1366 / Socket B CPU interface and their replacement for the old Front Side Bus technology, QuickPath Interconnect provides a system bus speed of up to 6.4GT/s. The three PCI-Express 2.0 slots take full advantage of either 2 or 3 graphics cards.
Note: A BIOS upgrade to version SZ1A may be required to use 1600MHz. The new BIOS, as well as upgrade instructions can be located on the EVGA website.

First Build, Fairly easy
Very nice looking motherboard. Lots of room for adding extras down the line. I love the CPU temp on the side. Only problem I had is the power plug for the CPU is located directly underneath where the CPU cooler's fan is located, and was very tricky to reach (even with little hands). Was rather annoyed that I had to remove the fan to get to the power (maybe if I had read the directions I wouldn't have had that problem). Speaking of directions, the guide that comes with this is awesome. Has a diagram on one side, showing what everything is (for first time builders like myself) as well as very concise directions on the other side for installation. I plan on using this same motherboard for my next build as well. It's great.

You are the quality control
Board is really good but one of the memory slots (5&6) was bad and had to send back to EVGA for replacement. Problem occured when Win 7 64 bit installed.
