I must be missing something. Purchased this product locally and installed in Vista Ultimate on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop. Based on other reviews I must be doing something wrong. It works perfect. Did have to call tech support about the online program guide feature. They recommended downloading an earlier version (4.98 vs 5.2x) to get the program guide with recording scheduling features. I am using the pinnacle bundled software and not media center. Replay this way looks more like TV and not like Windows. Have used it only for HighDef - So far, excellent results. |

This product is a HUGE disappointment! Its NOT fully compatible with Vista's Windows Media Center! There is a audio sync delay that grows the longer you use it! After spending 2 weeks trying to repair the sync problems through updates and re-installs, I going to return the 2 USB dongles I purchased. Pinnacle says they are aware of the issue and have been working on it for over 1 year, blaming Microsoft for the compatibility issues.
Also, the TV software that comes with it, hangs at any given time, so you cant even count on that!
Don't waste your money or your time if you have a Vista computer! |

If I had a 32 bit OS this may have worked. I wanted to use it with Windows Media but could not. 64 bit drivers that you can update to are beta and did not help me. Just going to have to return it that is ok hopefully that experience will not be bad with TigerDirect.
If you are going to use Windows Media Center and have a 64 bit OS don't get this. |

| What Is
High Definition And How Is It Different From Standard Definition?
High Definition or "HD" is a
technological leap forward from standard definition, with up to 6x the
picture resolution, so that what you see is sharper and more realistic. Regular TVs and the TV channels you watch
at home are typically in standard definition (unless you watch HD channels).
DVD are also in standard definition. Standard definition (480i & 480p)
is lower quality than high definition. Many older TV sets are standard
def, and can only show standard def content (programming). Many new
TVs are called High Definition TVs (HDTV). They are capable of showing
high def content in: 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, all high definition
formats, but 1080p provides the highest picture quality of them all.
