HP Compaq d530 running Vista, system recognized it and installed and ran it without any outside drivers, thing is reading and writing quite fast. I'm quite happy so far and would buy another. Oh, and it's quiet. |

This drive is a good value however it barely can read its own nero installation disc. Stopped reading during windows XP install. Had to hit re-try to get it to read again! Now I get an error box when windows shuts down. I'm going to install my old Lite-on(which works great but is not a DVD burner)and reinstall windows and all my software using it and then reinstall this drive. Not what I expected from a Sony |

amazing dvd burner, to be honest I havent' burned anything yet haha, but I've copied and installed a LOT, a LOT of software from discs and DVD's, it's gone by flawlessly, QUIET and FAST, I can already tell this is the kind of dvd that easily burns 200 dvd's without a sweat. |
