As soon as I connected this device to my computer, it put a loud buzz in my speakers. I installed the software and did a channel scan - it only recognized 12 of the 79 channels I have available. I contacted Pinnacle Support and they were unable to correct the problem. I returned it. |

I wish I could rate this with negative stars. I purchased a pctv deluxe 4 years ago by pinnacle only to have then tell me the only software improvement would be the beta version wich never did fix any of the freezing or audio vidio sync issues. This time I am having issues with not being able to watch HD tv, customer support is a waist of time.... I contacted them 4 times, and they have now escalated this to level 2 tech support. Well, that also happened with the pctv deluxe product, please dont support pinnacle, buy anything else that you can get your hands on. |

I bought this in December of 2008, have had it a month now, and it works just great. Had to call Pinnacle for some setup support as there is not much data included with it but it worked great (wasn't sure how to set it to record from my DishNetwork). I have recorded HD programs off of my Dishetwork just to see if it worked in that manner (I have a DVR anyway) as well as recording many programs using just the antenna and it does what its supposed to do. I only paid $69 for it at TigerDirect and for that price it was well worth it. I highly recommend it as a travel accessory for a laptop or even a desktop. Great gift for the gadget freaks. Also, its fun to be able to keep on working but feel that you're not missing a favorite TV program in real time. Noticed some negative reviews of it before purchasing but decided to try it anyway and I'm really glad that I did as its terrific. |

Purchasing this item, was a big mistake, this item eats every single hertz from your prosessor and every bit from your memory, and still will not work properly, it crashes all the time and besides that it gets real hot, I guess it consumes a lot of energy, downloaded new drivers and still the same, unable to record from composite, the software that came with it, does not work either, tried to record something with nero, it did not work, This was a waist of money, do not wait like I did trying to find a fix for the bugs, if it does not work for you return it right away. |

I would NOT recommend this item to anyone. I installed this USB device on a Windows XP SP3 computer that exceeded all of the requirements on the Pinnacle Systems box. This device is a memory hog and a processor power hog. If I wanted to decidate a computer to TV video capture it might work marginally. After a week, the unit stopped working. I traded lots of email with Pinnacle Systems support but got nowhere. Then the thing lost many of the files on the USB device. When I went to uninstall the support software it failed because my computer was not running SP2. I was running SP3. In my opinion, this is just bad software design. |
