its a GREAT value...BUT i would not recommend it to someone cause it does not work..its missing a critical file that it need to install..but otherwise if it wasnt missing that file i would recommend it

the Best Microsoft has to offer hands down!!.Ive used xp home/pro/2000..and XP Home sp2 is the very best.i tried vista and that was a nightmare.please dont ever install vista..XP Home is great.stick with it and you will be fine.as far as the activation all you have to do is call microsoft and answer some simple questions ( no personal questions are asked).and you can activate this time after time..a 9 outta 10 stars.

Like several other users, I also purchased this OEM version of XP to run with Parallels 3.0 Premium on my new MacBook Pro. In spite of the warning in the Parallels manual not to use OEM software, it works fine and costs much less than a retail version of XP. Once installed, Windows ''Automatic Update'' brings it up to current status. Don't forget some sort of virus protection. Parallels Premium provides this for one year.

Have been running XP for several years, wouldn't want top change OS so easy to use. Reliable& stable. Download fast and easy updates in less than 10 min. using DSL. But if your like me I usually build a new computer every year just to keep up with the times. I gave the value a #2 rating because no place in the info did it tell you that you can only use the disc once with the key-code they give you, when you are building or upgrading three computers a year it's not as good a value as it appears. Overall excellent OS !!

i got a bogus disc ....3 formats & 3 install attempts ....said 1 file was missing info ...had to use my sp1 disc ...& the regestration # from the new 1 ...took me 12 hrs to get windows up & running ...i got a lemon for $89....i give a thumbs down ....may never do tht again ...
