Excellent value - not one of the brand name HD capable small-footprint cameras in the 300 to 500 range has this particular mix of useful features and battery life as a result is stellar.
Video and picture quality is terrific. |

Received my Aiptek just 3 days ago, and am really happy with the results. At the advertised price, it's a steal when compared with the Sanyo, or Panasonic with similar features. No, it has not image stabilizing, so a tripod, or motion support is required, and the pictures are dependant on good lighting, but with the HD feature, and adjustable MegaPixel count, I can shoot either 2/4/12 hours of video or up to 4K plus pictures. It's going with me on vacation, and I'm already happy about it's size and portability. Only downside is the MOV format for videos, won't work directly with my Adobe Premier Elements, but Super will convert it so I can create DVD's of the vacation. A great deal in both image quality and compactness. Buy it now, before it's gone at the new discount price. [I could have saved $25 if I had waited a week.] You'll love it as a second unit to that overpriced ones you already own..... |

The Go-HD works with some SDHC cards: ''SanDisk Extreme III SDHC 4GB''. It's compact & sorta easy to hold, but my finger gets in the way of the so-called light. Here is why I think this HD camera's a waste of money:
1) Indoor filming is horribly flat, with grain & no real color depth; needs a LOT of light!
2) The LED lights illuminate the area/subject with a light blue flashlight effect. You can't turn it on & off easiy...you have to go to the menu and then access it.
3) Recording is very shaky using the zoom function, & it's not that steady when in ''wide angle''.
4) There is a drag-and-lag effect some of the time when panning quickly, or even at a normal rate, like dragging an open Microsoft Windows program across the screen and having it move slowly & lagging.
5) Auto focus is slow to respond & is marginal at best. Zoom function moves in & out very slowly & is frustrating when trying to catch something moving.
Get it if you NEED small, are cheap, or have no money |

What You Should Know
 |
| MEGAPIXELS AND PHOTO PRINT SIZE
The
photo print quality of your images depends on the camera's "megapixel
rating." The higher number of pixels your camera has, the higher the resolution
(or sharpness) of your images---and the larger your prints can be without
quality loss. |

Digital Camera Flash Storage
Capacities
 |
* Average file size
using cameras highest resolution JPEG mode. Actual number of
photos, songs, and minutes will vary depending on camera/device model,
format resolution and compression, usable capacity, and bundled software.
Actual usable memory capacity may vary. 1MB equals 1 million bytes; 1GB
equals 1 billion bytes.
NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL CARD
The number of
pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity
of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card
can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your
images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an
average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately
213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will
increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot
in a higher resolution mode. |
