 Panasonic VDR-D230 DVD Digital Camcorder
The Panasonic VDR-D230 is a DVD digital camcorder for the rest of us! While it provides great resolution and stunning color reproduction via a 1/6-inch CCD sensor boasting over 680K pixels, the VDR-D230 is designed for everyone’s use. It has Optical Image Stabilizer technology built in, which makes it easy to record footage, even in less than perfect conditions. Shaky hands, filming while on the move, even footage shot from a rocking boat. The VDR-D230 has a powerful 32x optical zoom. This means that you’ll get video that’s right in the center of the action, without loosing quality or clarity. And it’s equipped with a widescreen LCD display, so you can compose your true 16:9 videos with ease. Capture your video memories in their natural beauty, with the Panasonic VDR-D230 Video Camera.

Detailed Features
A Closer Look

Features
- Easy Shooting, Easy Viewing
When it comes to shooting videos, simpler is better. Panasonic DVD Palmcorders make it exceptionally easy to capture your precious memories directly onto several DVD formats (DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R/DL). The camera automatically finds a blank section on the disc for recording so there's no need to rewind or fast- forward, and an index screen makes it easy to search for a particular scene. When you finish shooting, just take the disc out of the camcorder and slip it right into your DVD player or recorder for immediate playback — there's no need to connect any cables.
- Suppress Camera Shake — Even on a Big-Screen TV
Imagine taking video shots on a moving boat and then viewing them on a large-screen TV. They're likely to appear blurry from the boat's movement and from your unsteady hands. Panasonic solves this problem with O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which minimizes hand-shake in situations where it is most often a problem, such as with zoom shots — or on a moving boat. The system is optical, so there is no quality loss, and images look clear and beautiful on a big-screen TV.
- Always Ready for a Close-Up
You'll rarely need to move in to get a close shot with this camcorder. You can fill the screen with even a distant subject, thanks to a powerful 32x zoom. And because it's optical, there's no loss of clarity or quality. Whether you zoom in or pull back, images always retain their natural beauty.

What You Should Know
 |
| MEGAPIXELS AND PHOTO PRINT SIZE
The
photo print quality of your images depends on the camera's "megapixel
rating." The higher number of pixels your camera has, the higher the resolution
(or sharpness) of your images---and the larger your prints can be without
quality loss. |

Digital Camera Flash Storage
Capacities
 |
* Average file size
using cameras highest resolution JPEG mode. Actual number of
photos, songs, and minutes will vary depending on camera/device model,
format resolution and compression, usable capacity, and bundled software.
Actual usable memory capacity may vary. 1MB equals 1 million bytes; 1GB
equals 1 billion bytes.
NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL CARD
The number of
pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity
of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card
can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your
images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an
average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately
213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will
increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot
in a higher resolution mode. |
