I got this as I work on computer and my old stick got infected with a virus. The write protection switch (yes it has one even though the specs on this site don't tell you) is a great way to make sur eI don't get infected from questionable machines. The only issue I have with it is the shape is awkward and makes it hard to plug it into tight usb slots. Easy fix was a short usb extenstion cable which was fine by me. |

I bought this to free up some disk space on my computer and it definitely does the job! The only down side to this product is that it is a little slow when you are transferring many files at one time. It doesn't really bother me too much, though. |

I did not receive the USB cable with the unit which I needed to plug into my desktop computer. I ended up ordering a 1 meter cable on a separate order. |

This unit's only redeeming feature is the Write Protect switch in the base.
I have since tosse this unit in the trash. |

About the same price as a 8 gig was just 5 years ago and 4X the storage. Using it as a music library so I freed up a lot of disk space on my computers, just plug and play. This is a great value those other reviewers must be jaded or want something for next to nothing. When the price goes down any further it will be obsolete, and you will be paying over a C-note for the latest tech and the 64 gig will reside in this price range. That's just the way the Tech world moves. If you need external storage now buy it cuz' it does the trick and at a friendly price. |
