I just bought the Kworld TV BOX1440. If you have a wide screen monitor or want to get rid of your HDTV to save space, I recommend this product. It was over all a good value. It was easy to set up the first time and it does everything I want it to. The only disappointments were the TV tuner, PC resolution, and aspect ratios. The TV tuner was based on automatically (or manually if you prefer) selected channels, each tagged with a sequential ''favorite'' number. You cannot just change to channel eight, or 12. It must first be a preset, and then you can go to it's new number. The graphics when running my Mac were good, but I feel they lost a little clarity. Also since a typical wide screen 1440x900 monitor has a 16:10 ratio and a wide screen TV has a 16:10 aspect ratio, wide screen movies and games tend to be slightly stretched out. Once you find the right balance of brightness, contrast, saturation, etc. the monitor works as well or better than a TV. |

Regarding Gottaken's review, he is right, it analog tv OVER THE AIR will be banned. You will not be able to recieve signals from an antenna. However, you can still use your regular cable from your cable company and it will work until about 2012. |

I bought this to use with my 19'' LCD to watch TV. Wish I would have saved my money. The picture is terrible, full of flicker both horizontal and vertical and this is on cable.
It is a bit better watching a DVD using the SVHS input. I have not tried it with component inputs yet. |

CAUTION -- This product will be obsolete by February 2009. It relies on analog tv (NTSC) broadcasts signals, which the FCC has banned. If you are buying a device such as this, lock for digital tv (ATSC) capability. This doesn't have it. |
