Panasonic DMR-EH75VS 4-in-1 DVD Recorder
Progressive Scan DVD Recorder with Built-In 80GB Hard Disk, VCR, SD Card Slot, DV Input, and HDMI Output with EZ Sync™ Control all in one! Your hectic schedule isn't always compatible with TV program schedules, so being able to quickly locate your favorite shows and record them for later viewing is important. The TV Guide On Screen Electronic Program Guide lets you easily find your favorite programs and set up your DVD recorder to record them unattended. Explore program listings up to 8 days in advance, searching by genre or keyword to help narrow down your choices. Once you've found what you want in the listings, simply select the program and your DVD recorder will automatically begin recording at the preset time.

Super Multi-Format Recording
and Playback—Record and Play Almost Anything

Incredibly versatile and format friendly, this DVD recorder can record to and play back just about any DVD you can throw at it. Specifically, it can record to and play back DVD-R/-RW/-RAM/+R/+RW discs. It can also play back many more disc formats, including: DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, DVD-R(dual layer), DVD+R(dual layer), CD, CD-DA, and CD-R/RW(including MP3, JPEG, and DivX files). With a Panasonic DVD recorder, never think twice about what disc you need.

Record with Twice the Resolution
This DVD recorder can record an amazing 500 lines of horizontal resolution in LP Mode, which is twice the 250 lines of resolution offered by conventional LP Mode recording. What does this mean? It means that you can fit up to 4-hours of recordings on one DVD (4.7GB capacity) and still enjoy the crisp, vibrant images with exceptional detail that 500 lines of horizontal resolution deliver.

High Definition (1080i/720p) Up-Conversion
with HDMI—Upgrade Your DVDs

When connected to an HDMI-compatible TV via an HDMI cable, this DVD recorder can up-convert the DVD content that you?re watching to 720p or 1080i resolution (depending on your TV?s display capability) so you can enjoy beautiful, high-quality imagery in near high definition.

Watch and Record At the Same Time
You sit down to watch this week's episode of your favorite show and realize that you never got around to watching your recording of last week's episode. Not a problem with Time Slip, featuring simultaneous record and play. Select this week's episode in the program guide, start recording, and as it records you can watch your recording of last week's episode.

What if you set up your DVD recorder to record a movie from 8:00 to 10:00 while you're out, but dinner was faster than you expected and you get home early? With our Chasing Playback feature, you don't have to wait for the program to finish recording in order to watch it. You can begin watching the portion of the program that has already been saved while the DVD recorder continues recording the remainder of the program.

Avoid Accidentally Recording Over A Program
If you own a VCR, it's almost certain that at some point someone has accidentally recorded over a movie or show that you wanted to keep. One-Touch Record will save your favorite programs from the same fate by automatically scanning the disc for blank space before starting the recording process. No more worries that your favorite sitcom's season finale will be overwritten by a family member's Sunday fishing show.

Browse Through Your Recordings Using Thumbnails
You and your family are sure to enjoy the convenience of your DVD recorder so much that you'll have a large library of recordings in no time. Keeping track of all those programs would be difficult if it weren't for our enhanced Direct Navigator, which displays thumbnails of every program on the disc as you browse, making it easy to identify the contents of each recording.

Built-In 80GB2 Hard Disk Recorder
The massive capacity of the built-in hard disk means you'll have plenty of space to record shows for everyone in the house. Record lots of programming, figure out what you want to keep, then move it to DVD in minutes for long-term storage.

Film-Like Image Quality
The goal of any playback device should be accurate reproduction of the original content. In the case of DVDs, most of that content is film-based. Utilizing advanced progressive scan3 playback techniques and very accurate MPEG video decoders, this DVD recorder provides an image that faithfully represents the image you see at your favorite movie theater.

What You Should Know

What is Progressive Scan?
Progressive scanning, otherwise known as 480P (p=progressive), creates a picture signal with double the scan lines of a conventional interlaced picture, 480I (I=interlaced), to create a noticeably sharper image. The 480P image offers higher picture resolution and eliminates virtually all motion artifacts. Even on large screens, the progressive scan lines are barely noticeable and picture flickering is greatly reduced, so you can enjoy extended viewing without eye fatigue.

In order to take advantage of a progressive scan DVD player, your TV must be capable of accepting and displaying a progressive scan signal (480p).

The Benefits of Progressive Vs. Interlaced Scanning
Standard DVD-Video players use interlaced scanning to produce a picture. Interlaced scanning combines two fields to generate a picture of 525 scan lines (480 of which are displayed). Your television projects an interlaced image by first scanning the 240 odd-numbered lines of one field (in 1/60th of a second), followed by the 240 even-numbered lines of the other field (in 1/60th of a second). So, it takes two fields to build one frame of video.

Our progressive scan DVD players have a progressive video processor, which enables all 525 lines (480 of which are displayed) to be scanned at the exact same time; two interlaced fields are combined into one progressive frame. A television with 480P component inputs can completely scan the entire image in 1/60th of a second. The result is a smoother and sharper picture with high resolution and minimal motion artifacts.

What Is High Definition And How Is It Different From Standard Definition?
High Definition or "HD" is a technological leap forward from standard definition, with up to 6x the picture resolution, so that what you see is sharper and more realistic.  Regular TVs and the TV channels you watch at home are typically in standard definition (unless you watch HD channels).  DVD are also in standard definition.  Standard definition (480i & 480p) is lower quality than high definition.  Many older TV sets are standard def, and can only show standard def content (programming).  Many new TVs are called High Definition TVs (HDTV).  They are capable of showing high def content in: 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, all high definition formats, but 1080p provides the highest picture quality of them all.

How To Protect Your HDTV And Make It All Work!
You've bought your ideal television or home theater, but have you considered how you will protect it, or make it all work together?  It's not as complex as it might seem, but it is important to consider, since devices may work differently, and have incompatible modes.  Plus after investing in your hardware, bad things can happen to damage them.
  • MOST IMPORTANT: SURGE PROTECTION
Power Protection For Your HDTV & Home TheaterIf you have a computer, you know all about surge suppressors and battery back-up UPS devices.  But do you have a UPS for your HDTV and Home Theater system?  HDTVs and Home Theater systems are just as susceptible to surge and power damage as computers, so it is critical you add a very good surge suppressor or UPS to your setup at once! Plus if you have a UPS, you'll be able to watch TV or listen to music if the power goes off! (for as long as the battery lasts of course!)

  • CONTROLLING IT ALL: ADVANCED REMOTE CONTROLS
Advanced Remote Controls For Your HDTV & Home TheaterAlmost every device you have came with a remote control, some even are called Universal Remote Controls.  But every device, HDTV, or Home Theater component has special features and functions, not supported by the generic Universal Remotes, especially if you want "One Button" control of several devices at once.  For these you need Advanced Remote Controls, that not only control everything, but reduce it all down to One Button tasks that even a Cave Man could operate!

Click Here for Advanced Remote Controls.

  • GOT HELP? GET AN INSTALLATION & SETUP SERVICE
Expert Certified Installation & Setup Help! With some of today's HDTV and Home Theater systems, you may want to consider getting expert help from certified technicians that can quickly install your HDTV on your wall, hide the cables and wires, balance the display settings and the 7.1 surround sound, for the maximum in sound and picture quality.  You can still tell your friends and family that you did it, it will just be our secret!

Click Here for expert installation services available when YOU want!

  • GET A GUARANTEED BUYBACK FOR YOUR HDTV
Guaranteed Buyback For Your HDTVAnother way to protect your investment, given the changing pace of technology, is to add a Guaranteed Buyback to your HDTV purchase.  This will guaranty the trade-in value of your HDTV a year or two in the future, when you will be ready to upgrade to the latest technology.
