I have always used these cards, but this time I decided to buy one of the better ones which really was not that much more expensive. I had to download the lastest software which was a simple step. The card runs like a charm and would recommend this card to anyone. One nice feature when you install the new software is that it comes with the automatic updater so you never have to worry about being behind in your drivers or any other feature of the card. I give this card a five and the sound is great even if you are not a gamer. |

a major need for serious gamers!
Pros:
-performance vs cost is great (my opinion)
-excellent sound
- entertainment and gaming modes in software are easy to switch
-works flawlessly in windows 7
cons:
-minor hitch with installing to win7 but fixed in 10 mins (dont let this stop you from buying)

Installed with maybe a hitch or two,.. nothing serious. GREAT, crisp sound. So far have only tested it in Nascar2003,.. but it's an awesome sounding card. No problems so far. Used CD drivers, then autoupdate. Uninstalled some CL bloatware,.. working great. P5Q MB, GTX 275, 4 Gig RAM |

I installed this sound card with the Logitech X-540 surround sound system, and it performs amazingly. The X-FI crystallizer setting makes the sound awesome. I must admit, they include a ton of programs that aren't necessary, just make sure you do the custom install and choose the ones you want.
The in game quality is awesome, and for the first time I had realized I was wearing my headphones backwards, since it has the new audio detection! Awesome buy, I can't believe I went without a sound card for this long. |

Brought to life an old Enspire 5.1 system. Upgraded to SPDF input and was inthrawled by the boost in audio, does not connect with HIS HD audio from ATI HF but great on picking out sounds in all directions. Constant gamer and looking for that foe from behind created a new experiance unparalled to earlier SB cards |
