i bought 2 of these they both work good, though perhaps i have bad speakers but i haven't noticed a profound difference from mobo-integrated audio, at least for playing relatively old computer games life BF2 and 2142. |

This worked great right out of the box. Great sound for the money. Tiger Direct is a great place to shop. |

I needed an economical, quality sound card for my aging XP system. This was ideal. I'm an audiophile, not a gamer, so my emphasis is on pure stereo sound quality -- or at least as good as you can get with hi-res MP3s and WMA files. This card delivers crisp, low-noise performance with a high dynamic range. Installation was typical: plug in the card, install the software from the CD-ROM, reboot. No surprises, just good sound, and it beats the heck out of the on-board sound output from the computer. |
