An awesome multi-function printer for the computer user. Software and support are first class. The complete list of features is amazing. I love the SD card reader and usb port in the front. The second paper tray is handy for storage (and grabbing blank sheets). Picture quality is ok on regular, white legal-size office paper. It scans photos and documents into a computer file very nicely and prints any web-page for you with a click. The software has lots of buttons with custom settings. Printing speed is good. First page warm-up is a little slow...good performance considering it is less than half the price of some printers with similar features. The (relatively) low price of replacement ink cartridges is a nice feature, also. |

100% Linux support! I haven't checked the photo print quality yet, but it's a secondary consideration for me. All functions work flawlessly in Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 on AMD64 using the drivers and utilities from the Brother web site at http://solutions.brother.com/linux/en_us/index.html, after a bit of RTFAQ. |

Got Print Media For Your Printer?
What is Print Media? Print media
consists of paper, envelopes, cardstock, overhead transparencies, and labels
that are used with printers. Basically, Print Media is anything you print
on.Printers are
characteristically required to handle print media of various paper types.
When it comes to choosing the right media (paper) for the job, consider two
key factors: the type of document you plan to create and the technology you
plan to use. Image and overall document quality depends on using the correct
