Caution-when intalling the driver software program. It crashed my computer. I contacted Tech Support. They finally (after I sent 5 reminders) admitted they ''occasionally'' have that problem and don't have a fix. I had to use System Restore to get my computer functioning. Then I just installed the drivers, not the entire install program.
Awesome adaptor, has the price of a wal-mart bargain bin (19.99 when I bought it on sale here), but performs with the 60 buck big boys from Netgear. The software leaves some to be desired, like a way to set up roaming, and instructions for setting up ad-hoc, (can be done by setting adhoc band manually btw).
This card vastly outranges the 'superior' dell integrated wifi of our laptops--while hitting wifi spots in my friend's neighborhood he had to get 75 feet closer than I did. to pick up the signal.
As for durability, I concur with the first review. I've driven with this sucker in my 'top, slammed it around in a backpack, taken it on rigorous bike excursions, and even though it now looks like a warped board, it functions superbly. Awesome product. I will definitely purchase from TRENDnet again!
Why spend the money on a wireless card when This card has all the power of any other wifi card at half the price. It's durable (meaning I stepped on it, and bent the end and it still works) and works fine with my wireles router. You can't ask for a better 802.11g card for an unbeatable price.
