Great card. I bought it for the video acceleration because I want to display HDTV content. Works well with MPEG-2 stuff (once you make sure DirectX Video Acceleration is enabled and you have proper codecs). From what I've read it's just about the lowest end card that does well with DXVA. Doesn't require its own power connection. As previously mentioned, ATI software is resource hog but isn't required once the card is set up properly. Overall this card has great features/capabilities for the price. Much better than stock 9600.

Great card for the money. Drivers resident in Windows XP Pro SP2. Runs all my games, does what I need it to do. I don't play all the newest games so I can't really say that it would run all the new games well. But Pro Pilot 99, Max Payne and Rainbow 6 as well as a few others I play did really well. It does well on my system playing DVDs too.

Good choice for a mid budget compter. It is supported by alomost all new games on the market and give good performances. The only drawback is the ATI software: Catalst control center crashes often on my WinXP Home edition. But the ATI driver is stable enough.

Nice price:performance ratio - not one of the real high end cards obviously, but will play just about any game out there right now. I teamed it up with the Soyo/Celeron 2.93 bundle for a decent budget gaming system for my kids
