I took a chance that it would work with Linux and is works very well indeed with Ubuntu. A fine deal for a great price. |

I had to monkey around with it to get it to install properly but once I got it going it's been working as it should. Install docs are lacking but anyone with a bit of knowledge and patience will do fine. |

It worked the first time after I realized that my notebook harddrive needed the powered adapter. The documentation could be better but it worked as advertised and saved my data after the mobo went dead. |

Great product! A great way to connect a bare hard drive to your system. While I have not tried it on Windoes Vista or 7, I can say it works perfectly in XP.

The IDE port on my mobo died and wouldn't run my DVD rom so I combined this with a PCI USB card and have been running alot with no probs. The power conector is a little flimsy and one of the connectors came out, but went right back with a little tweeking.
I use a second one for external drive and no probs with that on. both work great. |
