line. The Viper64 K8T8AS, based upon VIA's K8T800 chipset, is sure to thrill

It is a generally good mobo, but with a number of cons that really disappoint you when you build a system yourself: 1. It has a crappy heatsink retainer that is not good for any real, heavy, massive heatsinks. You will have to use your own long bolts and four hands in order to do this. 2. This board has only two fan headers instead of the advertised three. 3. Placement of some caps is really stupid: they are contantly in your way when you insert or remove a video card, when you connect some other things, when you install your heatsink... 4. The memory slots are so close together that you have practically no air gap between two memory modules if they come with the heat spreaders. 5. The manual is horrible. 6. The thermal sensor keeps reporting that the CPU runs at over 52 degrees Centigrade even the very moment when you turn your system on(with the biggest all-copper straight-fin + 4 heatpipe sink with a high-RPM 92mm fan and some expensive silver/ceramic thermal compound on the C

great board!!! used a sempron 64 2500+ 512 ram and it flys. got it overclocked to 2.1ghz with no heat problems.
