If you're experiencing a RISE in temps, you probably put too much on, or have no idea what you're talking about. THis thermal paste, through my many custom computer builds not just for myself, has always shown to be reliable, and long lasting. There's no way the stock bubble gum paste can match this to any degree, I've seen temperature differences of up to 10 degrees C using this over the junk that's usually slapped on there. Perfect product, just use a bit the size of a grain of rice and spread it, you don't need to glob the whole tube on.

This with the V1 cpu cooler keeps my running about 35 to 39c under load. I did not run this machine with a stock paste so not sure if there is any change in temp.

My P4 3.4 runs 10 degrese C hotter than with the stock paste.I would not use this product again.

I bought mine from here at the beginning of this year and it has worked great since. There is a noticeable difference between stock and this silver thermal compound. I took off my aluminum heatsink on the motherboard northbridge chipset and it stayed a couple degrees celcius cooler.
