This is my first experience building a computer and it has been mostly a positive one. My one complaint regarding the motherboard concerns the drivers and disc that comes with the board. Neither the USB 2.0 or audio drivers loaded properly from the disc. I had to download audio drivers from the Mach Speed site to get the audio to work and point to the I386 folder of the Windows XP disc to get USB 2.0 up and running. A small issue, certainly, but the disc from the manufacturer should work.

Bought and installed this board in April 06 and not having any trouble with it. Install was easy and straight forward. Heat is stable with no issues with crashes or anything. Haven't had to touch the BIOS since install. This was for an upgrade of a barebones I bought from another vendor back in 2003. All I replaced was the board and CPU - using an Athlon 64 3200. I carried over the case, ps, memory, and hard drive. The only issue to come up was board had trouble with the soft button power-on from the front of the case. Had to shut off the power supply from the switch in the back then turn it back on then the button would work. If you use this board make sure you have at least a 400 watt ps. I replaced my old 300 watt with a 450 watt and the power-on issue went away. Since the upgrade I now have 1 GB of memory and a 2nd internal hard drive and board doesn't miss a beat even transcoding video files. A good value for balance between every day user and power user.

I've been running this board since Feb. '06 without any problems. This is my first build. I bought a barebone set with the AMD Athalon 64 3700+ and 1 gig of Ultra 3200, I'm now up to 2 gigs of memory. No problems getting up and running. And it has been going strong since.
