my computer is gateway with amd quad 4 cpu and it isn't compatible with drivers supplied with device. fotunately windows vista 64 has drivers for irda. iwas able to hotsync my garmin ique 3600 for the first since buying this computer. |

Did what I want it to do. At a great price. No problem installing and upgrading the equipment I needed it to work with AED medical equipment. |

I bought two of these for Christmas after purchasing a product like it six months before and liking it... at a much higher price. This one is a tuogh one. The drivers go right in, but there's a lot of research and perserverence needed to get your IR devices properly matched and recognized. The site helps tremendously. Without it, I would have given all zeroes. BUT, BArring your devices having their own drivers (for things like remotes and such), you're pretty much up the creek. Forget any techt-creative ideas there, sparky, unless you have a geek-tech savvy nerd in your pocket.
All in all, though? Worth every penny. |

I purchased this to communicate with a remote control: I wanted to use my remote with my Media Center PC, which doesn't have an IrDA receiver. There may be a way to get it to work, but I wasn't able to figure it out. |
