Product sparked and smoked for some extremely rare reason, but Maxtor replaced it free of charge. I am very happy with Maxtor HD's. |

Ive had this drive running in an enclosure (masscool fu310) conected usb2.0 to toshiba satellite for a month now. Everything seems to be working fine. Im happy, should take a while before i fill this one up. |

great hard drive! for its price, its the best! I just got my rebate processed.. that did take a bit of time though. But overall, very satisfied with the product. Will not hesitate to buy a Maxtor product again in the future. |

so far so good, since i bought i have not turn off my pc and the HD works marvelous. too bad i already filled up the whole disc , but im getting an extra one. |

Recently installed this in a NASLite server, which I use for backing up files. As the network is the bottle neck, I am quite happy with it's performance and low cost per GB of storage. The low noise would be a plus in some circumstances, but in this case this server is literally on a shelf in my basement.

issue does not affect SCSI hard drives.
